We installed a new fridge into Cottage 9 in June 2007. We put a new wood deck on the pontoon float, added floatation and rebuilt the decking on our long dock in April 2007. We installed new linoleum and painted the bathrooms in our newer waterfront cottages in February 2007. We installed a fence down the Markwart Road side of our property after the public boat launch was upgraded in May 2006.
We added AM/FM clock radios with alarm in all units in September 2005. We installed six new refrigerators in units in June 2005. We installed new linoleum flooring into four units in May 2005. We installed a new playground to replace the old wood adventure playground in May 2005. We have had to remove our 14 foot fibreglass runabout with the 50 hp outboard motor and the 14 foot aluminium fishing boat with the 9.9 hp motor from our rental fleet due to the cost of insurance in May 2005. The cost for insurance was more than our rental income on these two boats. We have replaced our 2001 Campion 545 bow rider with a 2005 Campion 545 bow rider with swim grid in May 2005. Over the winter of 2004/2005 we have installed 6L flush toilets into each unit. We have added a microwave oven (0.7 cubic feet, 700 watts) to each cottage (the oven is included in the rate) along with a set of 6 steak knives in May, 2004. We added a 10" fan to each cottage in July, 2003. Our 14 foot fibreglass boat is back in service as of June 25, 2003. Look for a new 360 degree virtual tour coming in the summer of 2003! The virtual tours will show the resort and cottage interiors while you control the speed and direction. A photo gallery page has been added in January, 2003. In August of 2002 we acquired a 14 foot fibreglass canoe. A canoe had been one of our most requested items. Our 14 foot fibreglass rental boat with the 50hp outboard has an engine problem and is unavailable until further notice as of August 20, 2002. *Update as of February, 2003 - engine is being rebuilt and boat should be available in May. We are now able to accept debit cards for payment as of July 5, 2002. We have put 4 cup electric drip coffee makers into each unit in June, 2002. Coffee filters are provided. We installed a package sewage treatment plant in May, 2002, to handle some of our cottage sewage requirements. This installation will improve our sewage treatment processes and will make our system more reliable as well as more environmentally friendly. Our Campion bow rider rental boat was replaced by a new Campion 545 bow rider in July 2001. We have added a Connelly wake board to our rental equipment as of June, 2001. Over the winter of 2000-01, we will be replacing our double beds in the master bedrooms with queen beds. Guest comfort will improve dramatically! This project involves removing the old bed frames and installing new ones to hold the queen beds, as well as finishing and new linens. Enjoy! In July, 2000, we purchased an "It's a Blast" inflatable raft. The raft is approximately 5m (15 feet) round and resembles a water trampoline. It has a trampoline type surface but does not have any metal support structure or springs. The raft has been a "blast" and is enjoyed by children and adults alike! The raft will be available for use during the normal swimming season which is usually mid June to mid September.
