Our Resort accepts dogs and cats, upon approval by the Resort, providing they are on a
leash or in a suitable enclosure and are under the control of the owner at all times.
Not all breeds may be accepted.
Bringing a pet on vacation can mean less relaxing time for you as you need to look
after your pet and abide by the restrictions in place at the different properties you
visit.
If you have a pet other than a cat or dog that you wish to bring on vacation you need
to contact us to request approval to bring your pet to the Resort.
Our pet policy is outlined below. Our expectation is pet owners will voluntarily
comply.
Pet Policy
General:
Our resort accepts pets as we have some customers who wish to bring
their pet on vacation. We are one of the last properties to accept pets in the
Sorrento area, especially during the summer period. It is important for those
customers who bring their pet to realize the following:
- Most of our customers that are here at any one time do not have a pet or have chosen not
to travel with their pet.
- Those customers without pets do not appreciate your pet doing its thing, such as marking
its territory, all over our property especially where children play.
- Pets that are not under control are not enjoyed by all. Some children and adults
are afraid of pets.
- Looking after a pet while on vacation is more demanding than at home because you are
expected to abide by the rules in effect at the properties you visit.
- We only allow 1 pet during Summer season.
Rules:
- Pets are to be on a leash (or in a kennel or pen) and under the control of the owner at
all times. If children are walking your pet, please ensure they are familiar with
our policy and rules.
- Pet owners are to clean up after their pets (use plastic bags). Please do not allow your
pet to pee on or around other cottages, trees, customer’s belongings or vehicles.
- Pets are not allowed on the centre playground area or on the beach.
- For pets that swim, please take them to the public access road to the right of our dock.
You may cut across the beach to take your pet swimming or there is a
gate behind Cottage 9.
- For pets that go in a boat, you are permitted to take them across the beach and on the
dock to and from your boat. Please do not allow your pet to swim off the dock.
- Please do not allow your pet to bark continuously.
- Pets are not to be left alone without the owner being present onsite,
either inside or outside a cottage, without the permission of the Resort.
- Resort linen, including bedspreads, comforters, blankets, towels and
pillows are not to be used for pet bedding. If you need a pet blanket,
please inquire at the office. Please do not allow your pet to be on the
beds or couch.
- Damages caused by pets will be charged to the customer.
- This policy and rules apply to any visitors you may have with pets as well. Visitors
will be given a copy of this document when they check-in at the office.
